Distinct problems in the analysis of death age with competing causes of death include the study of interrelations among death cause types. In this report, we establish the lifetime of a male mouse exposed to radiation during a clinical program, by suggesting to model the competing death causes by a semi-Markov process. A non-parametric estimation method for the semi-Markov kernel from lifetime empirical distributions bound to the different causes and for the survival function assessed from the kernel is proposed. Then, we establish the consistency of the semi-Markov kernel estimator. |
