Popis:	The article classifies the septal defects. An attempt has been made to bring in conceptional change in the septal surgery. The article describes different approaches to deal with each septal defects separately, particularly the cases with septal spur which form majority of the septal defects. The technique has been utilised in over 500 cases during the last over 12 years. Some new terminology has also been introduced.
