Popis: 1. The film formed by oils containing the KP additive consists of several layers. The layer adjacent to the metal is attached by chemisorption bonds, which are formed at a rather slow rate. The remaining layers are bonded by primary adsorption forces. 2. The protective effect of oils with the KP additive is manifested within 5 to 10 min after deposition on the metal, owing to a change in the structure of the electrical double layer of the metal, caused by adsorption of the surfactants of the additive at the metal surface. 3. When in contact with moisture, oils with KP additive absorb water, forming a water-in-oil system, so that the water does not pass through the oil to the metal surface. 4. The KP additive should be added to oils in amounts of 10–20%.
