Popis: | This study aims to screening of protease producing bacterial strain from saltpan located in Kanyakumari. Proteolytic bacterial strains were isolated by using skim milk agar plates. The potent bacterial isolate (SP II-4) was typically identified as Bacillus sp. SP II-4 by studying phenotypic characteristics. The purified enzyme fraction showed 591.04 (U/mg) of specific activity. The protease enzyme liberated from this strain illustrated better stability and activity in pH 10.0, 40 °C and stable upto 7.5% salt. The protease enzyme demonstrated better content lens cleansing effectiveness along with common chemical disinfectant. These above properties of the enzyme clearly stating that may use in various industrial processes which are performed even at extreme conditions. |
