In this article the authors give information about the first record of mantis Irispolystictica in Kharkiv Region, which expands the information on the northeastern border of the species range in Ukraine. Findings ofindividuals of I. polystictica in the same locality for two consecutive years indicate the presence in it of a stable self-sustaining population inthis territory. This species is widespread in the eastern regions of Ukraine much wider than previously thought. Brief data on the distributionand biology of this species are provided. |
