Popis: Clinical as well as basic knowledge on the pathophysiology of neurogenic impotence is still poor due to limited research activities and insufficient diagnostic possibilities. As a result, in cases with other neurological disorders, only up to 15% of all impotent patients are diagnosed neurogenic, either by exclusion or estimation. This paper explains the possible pathophysiologic mechanisms of peripheral neuropathies, including electrophysiological aspects and gives a conventional topographical classification of erectile neurogenic disorders.
