Verification and validation is the key component of software development. Existing IEEE test networks offer limited testing capabilities for distribution management system (DMS) applications such as Volt-VAr control (VVC), optimal feeder reconfiguration (OFR), optimal power flow (OPF), short circuit analysis (SCA) and fault location (FLOC). Furthermore, each application of DMS requires network data specific to its operating conditions. This paper presents unified data model for all DMS applications in single phase and three phase basis, as well as software tools used to produce one-line model of distribution networks capable of modeling all features of modern distributed networks. |
