Popis: | The human beings on the planet earth are facing with the issue of scarcity of fresh water. This issue of shortage of fresh water throughout the world can be addressed by utilizing solar energy based technology as this technology is environment friendly and solar energy is freely available in abundance on most places. Solar energy based water purification technology consists of a box type structure which is commonly known as solar still/solar distiller. It works on green house effect. The active type of solar distiller came into picture in 1983 with an aim to increase the production of fresh water. Since then, a lot of single slope active solar distillers have been reported by various researchers throughout the globe. This paper presents a mini review on single slope solar distiller by incorporating various collectors. Based on study, sensible conclusions have been drawn and reported. |
