Popis:	Genetic types of oil are identified on a set of criteria, which include structural features of the aliphatic hydrocarbons and also of the aromatic hydrocarbon in the fraction boiling above 200/sup o/C. The parameters include the balance between the CH/sub 2/ and CH/sub 3/ groups determined by spectral methods, the proportions of long and short chains in the paraffin-naphthene fraction, the balance between the aromatic series, and the individual compositions of the polycylic aromatics. In addition, isotope compositions of carbon, hydrogen, and sulfur can be used. It was found that the oils occurring in the entire section of Ciscaucasia do not have any definite type of distribution and represent a mixed group, if genotypes are not assigned. (JMT)
