Metoligoovulation or anovulation, clinical or biochemical evidence of hyperandrogenism, and polycystic ovary shape are all diagnostic criteria for polycystic ovarian syndrome. Women with PCOS are more likely to develop metabolic abnormalities, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease. Using the databases Pubmed and Scielo, the goal of this work was to provide a review of papers pertinent to polycystic ovaries, including causation, symptoms, diagnostic, and treatment aspects, as well as its association with Cardiovascular and arterial hypertension illnesses. |
