One of those papers introduces a demand model for adult outpatient services describes the types of data required for estimating it and presents results of a preliminary estimation. Another 2 papers focus on the problem of recurrent costs. Overall the 9 papers comprise an eclectic set of analytical approaches methodologies country and regional focusses and topics. Taken as a group the papers provide a broad and up to date overview of many aspects of the health care financing problem. Individually they have used analytical rigor and provide indepth insight into various components of the problem.
