This paper presents a new multilevel inverter topology having both symmetrical as well as asymmetrical configurations. The basic unit of the proposed topology produces unipolar voltage levels and with help of H-bridge bipolar levels are produced. The topology can be cascaded based on basic converter unit i.e, topology is cascaded in nature. To generate the gating signals for the switches Nearest Level Control (NLC) technique is used. The theoretical analysis is done and the single module of proposed topology is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment and results are presented. And to validate the claims of simulation results experimental results of hardware setup is analysed. |
