Popis:	Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare condition in newborns. The diagnosis is based on characteristic clinical findings. Within a few days black-purple lesions are followed by gangrenous skin necroses. Treatment consists of surgical debridement and systemic corticosteroid therapy. A case in a newborn is presented.
