Popis: A tilt-shift lens is a lens whose longitudinal axis can be moved out of alignment with the center of the film or image sensor-either by rotation for tilt or translation for shift. In this chapter, we will review the classic thin lens camera model in ray tracing, which sits at the sweet spot between the simple pinhole model and the complex lens systems. Then we will show how to extend it to model a tilt-shift lens. We will also show how to solve for the placement of the lens to achieve an arbitrary plane of focus.
