Popis: This article is a report of an internship experience, developed in 2018, with users of a Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS-II) with severe psychological illness. For this intervention, dance expression workshops were used as a therapeutic mediator. It is a research with a qualitative approach of an exploratory nature, characterized as a case study and aims to explain and understand the use of bodily expression workshops in dance as therapeutic mediators that assist in the treatment of people with severe psychological suffering. Fifteen users, of both sexes, aged between 20 and 60 years, participated in this intervention, in a total of 14 meetings. To understand the phenomenon, the contributions of the psychoanalyst Donald Woods Winnicott and other contemporary authors were used as a guide. It was found that interventions like this have the potential to provide users with ways of being creative, of autonomy, given the condition of illness in which they find themselves.
