Popis: | GOKTURK-l Program aiming to deliver a state of the art electro-optic Earth observation satellite combining the features of high quality images and an agile maneuvering has completed its in-orbit test campaign. The main goal of the program, imaging with high quality, has been tested in-orbit and the results of imagery calibration and quality assessment tests are provided in this article. The methodologies adopted to overcome the difficulties due to subjective nature of image interpretation are explained in detail regarding the radiometric attributes of the imaging capability. The mathematical parametrizations of image quality, such as SNR, MTF and GIQE, are mentioned and relevant results are presented. It has been experienced that the objective and parametric representation of the radiometric quality of an image is satisfactory when the concepts are acknowledged and well understood by all the parties involved in the program. |
