This report is the third in a sequence examining the issues influencing the effective use of information technology (IT) in education. The first report (Watson and Tinsley, 1995) examined the issues around the integration of informatics in education. The report from the World Conference on Computers in Education then examined the theoretical basis of IT and effective implementation (Tinsley and van Weert, 1996). This last report continues the theme with a focus on the question “How should we teach teachers to change?” It examines this question from the perspectives of change theory and lessons we have gained from practice. |
