Popis: | Ceria nanoparticles 4–15 nm in size have been obtained on halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) in solution by reacting cerium nitrate and sodium hydroxide. The HNT/CeO2 composites were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and infrared spectroscopy. Modified HNTs containing about 5 wt % ceria showed high anticorrosion performance on 2024-T3 air-craft-grade aluminum alloy. |
