Popis: In this study, design, fabrication and tests of micro-grippers were carried out. The geometry design and the material stresses were considered by means of the finite element analysis. The simulation model was used to study the profiles of von Mises stresses and deformation. Micro-gripper prototypes were made using various machining methods. Micromanipulation tests were conducted to evaluate the performance of the microgrippers and confirm potential applications of the micro-grippers in handling microobjects. The simulation and experimental results have proven the good performance of the micro-grippers.
