A novel multi-motor drives, based on series-connected PMSM, has been proposed recently for the requirement of superpower and high-performance in the areas of electric vehicle, aeronautics and more-electric ship. This paper mainly demonstrates the development of this new drive system, introduces the control method of multi-phase motor home and abroad, and analyzes the classic as well as advanced rules of decoupling control. To perfectly utilize the series-connected drive system, we also conclude the deficiency of existed research and put forward some technical outlook of this new-type structure. |
