Popis: | Poly(vinyl acetal)s with different degree of acetalization have been synthesized from poly(vinyl alcohol) and 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde. After quaternization and crosslinking they have been converted in ion exchange hydrogels. As quaternizing reagents ethylbromide, benzylchloride and p,p'-dichloroxylene have been used. The last has also proved to be a good crosslinking agent. Swelling, water uptake, ion-exchange capacity, electric conductivity of the films have been measured as a function of the degree of acetalization, quaternization and crosslinking. Thermal stability and mechanical properties have been also investigated. |
