Parameter Estimation of Hydraulic Equipment of Hydro-Electric Power Station Based on Numerical Simulation of the Spatial Flow

Popis: Numerical simulation of the spatial flow of high-head Francis hydraulic turbine RO310 for two variants of the water passage (the runner with 15 blades (modification 1) and with 17 blades (modification 2)) was carried out using application program package. The selected software package is one of the most used products designed for solving the hydrodynamic problems, distributed under a free license GPL (General Purpose License). The visualization of the results of the numerical research of two modifications of the hydroturbine RO310-V100 is given. The method of calculation of hydraulic losses in the water passage of the hydraulic turbine is presented. The analysis of numerical simulation results is performed. This analysis showed that the modification of the hydraulic turbine with the runner having 15 blades is better in terms of efficiency than the modification with 17 blades. The comparison of the two modifications was performed only on the values of the hydraulic efficiency of the turbine.
