On the connection between electroreflection and optical transitions at the metal-electrolyte interface

Popis: A theory of electroreflection at the metal-electrolyte interface has been considered on the basis of the concepts that modulation of intraband transitions, including external photoemission, at the potential drop variation influences the reflection of light. The theory agrees quantitatively with the results of special experiments performed with indium and lead. It has been shown that the metal-electrolyte interface can be studied, using the results, obtained from the experiments on electroreflection, treated by the formulae obtained in this paper.
