Popis: | Photon emission accompanying the cascading decay of the states produced by L-photoionization of the sulphur atom is studied. The decays of the following states with 2s- and 2p-vacancies are considered: (a) the states with single 2s- or 2p-vacancy produced by single L-photoionization; (b) the states with one M-electron additionally shaken up (SU) or off (SO) through the monopole shake process; (c) the states with additionally knocked up or knocked off M-electron produced by inelastic scattering of photoelectrons by core electrons, i.e. the conjugate shake (CS) processes. Twenty-seven different photon-emitting transitions in the ionic states from SIII to SV are discovered and the probabilities of respective photon emission are calculated. Both monopole shake processes and dipole conjugate shake processes have significant probabilities and contribute noticeably to emission. |
