Popis: | Cell invasion across mechanically dissimilar environments is mediated by cell-to-matrix transfer of mechanical memory. Past mechanical priming of cells in stiff environments increases cellular forces that enhance collagen remodeling and subsequent cell invasion. Computational model explains that a positive feedback between cell and matrix memories reduces energy barrier for sustained cell invasion from stiff substrates to 3D collagen matrices. |
