In this paper the variations in the values of refractive index (n), optical band gap(Eg), dispersion energy (Ed), oscillator energy Eo, optical dielectric constant ξ(0), change in optical energy ΔEg and change in density (Δd) of the materials for two glass systems having the same average coordination number before and after illumination are discussed from the available data. It is found that the optical constant depends not only on the average coordination number but also on the elements containing in the glass system. Optical constants of the glass system changes when it is subjected to illumination. |
