Popis: | In this study, different gamma-irradiation doses in the range from (0.25–3.0 kGy) were used with and without H2O2 to remove carbofuran (CBF) from aqueous solution The Gas chromatography-Mass spectrometry and ion chromatography were used to determine the intermediates, by-products, aliphatic acids, and inorganic species. The amount of formaldehyde were followed by UV–visible spectrophotometer. The change in dissolved oxygen, total acidity and pH was measured before and after gamma-irradiation. It was found that the dissolved oxygen was decreased from 3.42 to 0.9 mg L−1, pH from 7.20 to 3.75 and the total acidity was increased from 0.30 to 0.98 mg L−1. The completely degradation of carbofuran takes place at 3.0 kGy. As a consequence, the possible degradation pathway was suggested. |
