IR Study of Framework Vibrations and Surface Properties of High Silica Zeolites

Popis: The framework vibrations and surface properties of the ZSM-5 type and the SW type zeolites have been investigated. The absorption peaks near 550 and 1220 cm −1 have been assigned to the respective deformation and stretching vibration of the T-O bonds of 5-member ring in ZSM-5 zeolites. Studies have also been carried out on the changes in the IR spectra of the ZSM-5 series, the effects of B, Al, Ga, In and Tl cations on the ZSM-5 framework vibrations, and the correlations of crystallinity and Al contents of ZSM-5 with the IR spectra data. In adition, IR spectra and their data for the SW type zeolites incorporated with different cations (Mg 2+ , Ba 2+ , La 3+ ) in the synthesis process have been obtained. Furthermore, the structural OH groups and acidities of the ZSM-5 and SW- type zeolites have also been examined.
