Popis: The central idea in collaborative law is that the parties agree to resolve their dispute without going to court. This agreement takes the form of a commitment by the parties’ lawyers to withdraw if litigation becomes necessary. Collaborative law has been used almost exclusively in family law. This article suggests that collaborative law should be available more generally, in a wide array of civil disputes.
