Non-linear Curvature Wavefront Sensor for Extremely Large Telescopes

Popis: In this paper we present quantitative results that show the superior sensitivity of the non-linear curvature wavefront sensor (nlCWFS) compared to the Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor (SHWFS) and the modulated pyramid wavefront sensor (MPYWFS) for low and high order aberrations. We explain the design for the chromatic re-imaging optics (CRO) that introduces chromatic compensation which prevents broad band speckles from suffering chromatic aberration. We show results from the CRO built for one of the four channels of the nlCWFS design.
