Popis: Diabetic patients tend to develop diabetic gangrene when their diabetes melitus is poorly controlled, with amputations often needed to their extremities.Four cases of diabetic gangrene were investigated in patients who had reguired hemodialysis because of diabetic nephropathy. The patients had suffered from diabetes for more than 9 years (mean 14 years). All of them needed amputation of their extremities, and three patients required A-K amputations. All patients died with in 45 months (mean 17 months) from their first consultation with us, leading to an extremely poor prognosis.
