Popis: | By studying the precipitation of charged particles obtained from powder clouds, dielectrical suspension, and electrostatic separation in vacuum, we have found that isolated positively charged centers of activity are preserved on freshly cleaved mica surfaces for a long time after neutralization of the primary electrostatic mosaic. They induce negative charges in neighboring regions. Upon heating the mica to 400 °C three maxima of exoelectron emission which coincide with maxima of surface electrical activity are observed. The centers of electrical activity are associated with surface defects. The epitaxial crystallization on the surface is connected with these centers. |
