Popis: The amount of dust generated by anodes in the cells was estimated by using a model, that takes into account the following: the synergetic effect of anode permeability, reactivity and thermal conductivity the increase in CO2 burn near the end of the anode lifetime due to previous airburn occurring on the anode top the exponential increase in dusting propensity towards the end of the anode cycle the impact of current intensity, anode cycle length and anode density The model was validated in different smelters using different technology.
