Popis: Objective: To identify whether good birth practices are being carried out for healthy newborns during the COVID-19 pandemic in a university hospital. Method: Multicenter quantitative study, carried out at a University Hospital with 72 women from March to June 2021. Data were analyzed using the PSPP software. Results: 47 (67.1%) newborns were encouraged to breastfeed in the 1st hour of life, 41 (57.7%) had skin-to-skin contact, 37 (52.9%) had timely cord clamping and 9 (12.5%) newborns did not receive any of these practices mentioned in labor and birth care. Conclusion: This study showed that, during the COVID-19 pandemic, good practices at birth and delivery were present in the care provided to healthy newborns still in the delivery room at the University Hospital, as recommended by the Ministry of Health.
