A improvement to the cluster recognition model for peripheral collisions

Popis: Among the microscopic dynamical simulations used for the study of the evolution of nuclear collisions at energies around 100 MeV, it has ben found, that the BUU-type of calculation describes adequately the general features of nuclear collisions in that energy regime. The BUU method consists of the numerical solution of the modified Vlaslov equation for a generated phase-space distribution of nucleons. It generally describes satisfactorily the first stages of a nuclear reaction, however it is not able to separate the fragments formed during the projectile-target interaction. It therefore is necessary to insert a clusterization procedure to obtain the primary fragments of the reaction. The general description of the clustering model proposed by the authors can be found elsewhere. The current paper deals with improvements that have been made to the clustering procedure.
