Use of heating materials in the bottom-pouring of steel

Popis:	Results are presented from tests of heat-insulating refractories MKRFTIV-600 made by the Sukhoi Log Refractories Plant. The tests were performed at the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Combine. It was found that the amount of top crop taken is reduced by an amount between 3.0% and 8.0% (abs.), the exact reduction depending on the grade of steel being made.
