Popis: | A study is made of radiative heat transfer in systems which include absorption, emission and scattering with reflecting boundaries. The method of discrete ordinates is used for the analyses of systems with plane parallel geometry, while a Monte Carlo technique is used for the study of cylindrical geometry. Systems studied analytically include systems with experimentally determined scattering function, dielectric coatings on metallic substrates, boundary layers with scattering particles and radiation from finite cylinders. An experimental study is also made of radiative equilibrium transfer through a cloud of glass spheres falling between parallel plates. Results are compared with theory. (Author) |
