We describe the development of a parametric excitation of rolling pendulum energy harvesting, for which resonance frequency can be modulated by changing its geometric parameters. The harvesting system includes a rolling pendulum. By adjusting the position of its sliding mass, the resonance frequency of the rolling pendulum can be automatically obtained. For low-frequency energy harvesting, this type of harvester can be used. The proposed energy harvester is constructed and tested. The mathematical model of the proposed harvester is derived. A cam is used to produce harmonic excitation. Experiments are being performed to test the proposed idea. Both the numerical results and the experimental results are investigated to confirm the concept. When the angular frequency of the cam is altered, the harvester is successfully tuned. |
