Popis: | In 1969-70 we conducted a small project which aimed at comparing the measured interests of psychologists in five countries (Australia, Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand, and South Africa). The well-known Strong Vocational Interest Blank (SVIB), a United States paper-and-pencil device with a 40-year history, was mailed to random samples of 75 psychologists in each country. The response rate was about 41%, and a total of 153 usable returns were included in a multi-national comparison of measured interests. We wish to summarize the findings for readers of this Journal and to refer them to lengthier reports given in the reference listed below. A similar note is being sent to appropriate British and Canadian journals, while one of the lengthier reports will appear in a South African journal (see references). |
