Popis: | Panaitov et al. (2001) describe certain peculiarities in measurements of time-domain electromagnetics (TEM) using superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) sensors. In particular, they propose an explanation for sign reversals observed with the in-loop configuration in terms of remnant responses from earlier transmitted pulses of the repetitive transmitter waveform, and show several examples to demonstrate this effect. However, it appears that the data presented in their article are highly selective, and if realistic waveforms are used, sign reversals cannot be caused by the mechanism proposed. |
