Popis: The physicochemical properties of the iron exchanged A-type zeolites are affected by the degree of dehydration of the samples. Mossbauer and adsorption techniques were used to investigate the cation distributions in these zeolites. At lower degrees of hydration, a significant number of iron ions are located inside the sodalite cavities. A systematic study of the adsorption of probe gases, such as CH4, CO and CO2, was subsequently carried out and the results were correlated to the structural features of the dehydration.
