Popis: As more people live longer, there is a need for information regarding the nutritional status of the middle-aged-elderly and the old-elderly. There is also a need to know whether the programs designed to improve nutritional status are indeed helpful. Data from a study in Missouri demonstrate that participation in a congregate meal program did improve the intake of calcium, protein, and (for women) energy.
