The results of experimental studies of the ignition processes of a new class of fuel, Bio-water-coal based on coal of varying degrees of metamorphism with the addition of fine sawmill and woodworking waste, are presented. The experiments were carried out on a setup that provided a high level of reliability (error of not more than 11.2%) of the main recorded values (ignition delay time (tign), characteristic size of fuel particles at the initial instant of time d, oxidizer temperature Tg). The temperature regime varied over a wide range (873-1473K) and corresponded to the actual operating conditions of the combustion chambers of steam and hot water boilers. It has been established that bio-water-coal suspensions based on brown and long-flame coals are ignited faster than a mixture based on brand T coal. The dependences tign (Tg), which are essentially non-linear, are obtained. |
