Popis:	A quantitative estimation of C-band polymorphism has been carried out in five chromosome pairs (nos 5, 11, 12, 13 and 19) in a male specimen of Cebus apella. This approach allowed us to estimate the heteromorphism index (HI) within each of the five chromosome pairs, and to clearly detect C-band heteromorphisms in two chromosome pairs (nos 12 and 13) in this species.
