Popis: | The reaction rate of hydrated electrons, (e-)aq, with CO2 was measured in water using transient absorption spectroscopy and electron pulse radiolysis over the temperature range from 5 to 350°C. Arrhenius activation energy is found to be 15.9 kJ/mol between 5 °C and 200 °C. The reaction of (e-)aq with CO2 in high-temperature water showed non-Arrhenius behavior similar to that of its reaction with isoelectronic N2O, reaching a maximum at 300 °C. |
