| Popis: | Raceophenidol in feed can be estimated by an ultraviolet spectrophotometric measurement of the derived p-methylsulfonylbenzaldehyde. The method, effective for measurement of raceophenidol in feed at medication levels greater than 0.002%, is based on amide hydrolysis and subsequent periodate oxidation. Collaborative studies were conducted on the method; average value was 98.5 ± 7.8%. The method is recommended for adoption as official, first action. |
