Popis: | The shear moduli of methylcellulose gels were measured by means of the surface wave method with different molecular weights and degrees of substitution, i.e., average number of methoxy groups in a glucose unit. Measurements obtained ranged in concentration from 3 to 15 wt%. The effects of molecular weight and degree of substitution on the shear modulus were discussed. |
