Interaction of platinum chloride with a polyacrylamide gel and its monomeric analogues

Popis: The adsorption properties of [PtCl4]2− on a tightly cross-linked polyacrylamide gel (Biogel P-2) were studied. The dependence of the distribution coefficient on the type of the eluent salt solution and its concentration were found to justify the proposed electrostatic model of interaction. The structural elucidation of the complexes formed by [PtCl4]2− with acetamide and acrylamide, the functional groups of the gel, was undertaken in order to understand their donor properties.
