Popis: THE prostate is the only accessory sex gland in the dog and, in the normal adult male, it is a bi-lobed structure with prominent dorsal and ventral sagittal grooves. It is a common source of clinically significant disease in the dog. Cats do possess a prostate gland, but it is rarely diagnosed as being diseased.
