| Popis: | Рассматривается лингвистическое явление «переключение кода» как особая коммуникативная стратегия в речи билингвов. На материале результатов лингвистического анализа доказывается, что кодовые переключения реализуются при смене адресата, составе общающихся, изменении роли самого говорящего, темы общения, в качестве эмфатического средства, а также переменная форма дискурса. Цель статьи — рассмотреть явление кодовых переключений как одну из категорий языкового смешения, их специфику и реализацию в произведениях англоязычного бикультурального писателя полилингва Джона Роберта Фаулза (John Robert Fowles). The article is focused on the code switching as the linguistic phenomenon and concerns it as a special communicative strategy in the speech of the bilinguals. On the basis of the linguistic analysis results, it proves that code switchings are realized in the communication conditions: addressee’s change, the number of speakers, changing role of the speaker, the communication topic by way of either the emphatic means or the variable form of discourse. The purpose of the article concerns the phenomenon of codes switching as one of the language mixture category, their specification and realization in the works of Anglophone bi-cultural bilingual writer John Robert Fowls. Materials and Methods. The main research methods involve the methods of textual, pragmatic, functional, stylistic and discursive analysis. Methodological and theoretical basis of the research comprises the linguistic theory of code switching (C. Mеyers-Scotton, P. Gardner-Chloros, A. Zhiganova, Zh. Bagana, Y.S. Blazhevich), the theory of code switching as the realization of the communication strategy (L.P. Krisin, Е.А. Protsenko, G.N. Chirsheva, O.T. Yokoyama, E.B. Kolomietseva). Results. The code switching mechanism was introduced; the reasons, conditions and factors affecting the language switching were determined and systematized; the functional implication of code switching onto the other languages as the means of the author’s individual style was also stated. Reasoned code switchings are used in the way of sociolinguistic means in order to achieve the stated goal. The author concludes that the participants themselves decide on the choice of the code. Language strategy of code switching is one of the expressive means of independence, ethnic self-identification and as for literary works, the very strategy represents the author’s individual style. Conclusion. The study defined that code switching is used by the bilingual writer in the intense textual positions, in the discursive strategies of intertextualization, context, segmenting the statement and compositional organization of the literary text; the author determined that when code switching takes place, the construction of the main characters image in the literary works is represented; the research overviewed that by means of transition onto the other foreign languages, the author addresses to the representatives of the society being described. |
